Just after I decried male sportsmen in a previous post about the girl softball players, a botched call by an ump turns into a PR boon for MLB when the ump first apologizes and shows remorse, even crying, then the player shows grace in losing out on a one in a million chance to be in the record books with a prefect game. Kudos to Jim Joyce , the ump for manning up on the error, and to Armando Galaragga for being a big man and accepting the event and the apology, and their display the next day shaking hands before the next game. I for one am still torn on if they should reverse the call but I lean to yes they should and give the perfect game, it would make three honorable responses to an error.
